Precisely%20one%20year%20ago%20we%20visited%20Cape%20Otway%20on%20Victoria%27s%20Great%20Ocean%20Road%2C%20staying%20at%20the%20Cape%20Otway%20Lightstation%20for%20a%20milestone%20birthday%20treat.%20%0A%0AThere%20are%20three%20or%20four%20cottages%20or%20studios%20in%20historical%20buildings%20in%20which%20you%20can%20stay%20at%20the%20Lightstation.%20%0A%0AOn%20this%20occasion%2C%20we%20are%20pretty%20sure%20we%20were%20the%20only%20guests%20staying%20overnight%2C%20and%20given%20the%20staff%20don%27t%20stay%20on%20site%2C%20we%20had%20this%20incredible%20piece%20of%20history%20to%20ourselves%20overnight.%20%0A%0AI%20haven%27t%20done%20a%20lot%20of%20night%20sky%20photography%2C%20but%20with%20a%20clear%20night%20and%20a%20new%20moon%20in%20a%20remote%20location%20I%20had%20to%20take%20the%20opportunity.%20%0A%0AStaying%20overnight%20provides%20the%20opportunity%20to%20scout%20out%20compositions%20before%20dusk%2C%20and%20the%20use%20of%20the%20PhotoPills%20app%20allowed%20me%20to%20plan%20the%20time%20of%20night%20when%20the%20milky%20way%20would%20be%20aligned%20above%20the%20lighthouse.%20%0A%0AWhile%20I%20am%20sure%20that%20there%20is%20a%20lot%20of%20room%20for%20improvement%2C%20I%20am%20very%20happy%20with%20this%20image.%20Not%20only%20it%20is%20a%20decent%20image%20of%20the%20magnificent%20night%20sky%2C%20it%20brings%20forth%20great%20memories%20and%20wonderful%20imaginings.%20%0A%0APhotography%20is%20a%20medium%20for%20story%20telling.%20This%20image%20provokes%20thoughts%20of%20the%20vastness%20of%20the%20universe%2C%20it%20is%20a%20reminder%20of%20the%20danger%20of%20navigation%20along%20a%20treacherous%20coastline.%20These%20threads%20combine%u2014for%20me%u2014into%20thoughts%20of%20exploration%20and%20journey.
