Self%20Portrait%20Collage

This%20is%20my%20self-portrait%20collage.%20You%20can%20find%20me%20in%20two%20spots%20in%20this%20image.%20Probably%20the%20most%20apparent%20spot%20you%20can%20find%20me%20is%20framed%20in%20the%20center%20of%20the%20photograph.%20I%27m%20framed%20by%20not%20only%20the%20old-fashioned%20frame%20but%20also%20the%20trees.%20This%20is%20symbolic%20in%20the%20vintage%20aesthetic%20and%20presentation%2C%20as%20I%20have%20always%20felt%20like%20I%27ve%20needed%20to%20perform%20and%20look%20a%20certain%20way%20to%20society.%20The%20other%20visible%20addition%20of%20myself%20is%20seen%20in%20the%20lower%20right-hand%20corner.%20This%20photograph%20was%20taken%20a%20while%20ago%20and%20I%20like%20that%20it%20resembles%20a%20younger%20self.%20I%20also%20like%20how%20it%20looks%20like%20I%27m%20really%20in%20the%20scene.%20%0AThe%20setting%20is%20a%20beautiful%2C%20magical%20forest/meadow.%20I%20really%20liked%20the%20photo%20and%20it%27s%20something%20that%20makes%20me%20feel%20happy%20and%20at%20peace.%20Nature%20is%20a%20very%20large%20part%20of%20who%20I%20am%20and%20makes%20me%20feel%20refreshed%2C%20so%20I%20needed%20a%20very%20natural%20feel%20in%20this%20collage.%20The%20backdrop%20is%20a%20page%20out%20of%20the%20bible.%20My%20faith%20is%20very%20important%20to%20me%20and%20is%20essentially%20the%20%26quot%3Bbackbone%26quot%3B%20of%20my%20life%20and%20my%20purpose.%20%0AThe%20famous%20Michelangelo%20hands%20are%20symbolic%20to%20me%20because%20they%20for%20one%20part%20represent%20my%20faith%2C%20my%20appreciation%20for%20art%2C%20as%20well%20as%20the%20helper%20in%20me.%20I%20love%20the%20symbolism%20of%20two%20hands%20coming%20together%2C%20whether%20it%27s%20through%20unity%2C%20connection%2C%20guiding%2C%20supporting%2C%20etc.%20On%20the%20opposing%20tree%2C%20you%27ll%20see%20an%20airplane%20window%20that%20represents%20my%20absolute%20love%20for%20traveling%20and%20adventure.%20It%27s%20something%20I%20aspire%20to%20do%20more%20of%20as%20I%20continue%20to%20age%20and%20become%20independent.%20Underneath%20are%20the%20words%2C%20%26quot%3BNature%20is%20a%20language%2C%20can%27t%20you%20read%3F%26quot%3B-%20This%20is%20a%20quote%20from%20the%20song%2C%20Ask%2C%20by%20The%20Smiths.%20I%27ve%20always%20loved%20the%20smiths%2C%20thanks%20to%20my%20dad.%20So%20in%20a%20way%2C%20this%20shows%20my%20love%20for%20my%20father%2C%20my%20love%20for%20nature%2C%20and%20my%20love%20for%20music.%20Along%20the%20%26quot%3Bhorizon%26quot%3B%20of%20this%20photo/%20the%20lower%20third%20horizon%2C%20you%27ll%20see%20two%20photos%20embedded%20within%20the%20collage.%20Well%20starting%20from%20the%20left%2C%20the%20ocean%20wave%20represents%20my%20hometown%20roots%20of%20Huntington%20Beach.%20although%20I%27m%20no%20surfer%2C%20the%20ocean%20will%20always%20feel%20like%20home.%20Then%20you%27ll%20see%20the%20skyline%20of%20Seattle%2C%20Washington.%20I%20just%20visited%20for%20college%20and%20I%20have%20a%20feeling%20that%20city%20will%20be%20my%20new%20home%20next%20year.%20I%20just%20love%20the%20city%2C%20the%20rain%2C%20the%20culture%2C%20the%20beauty.%20I%20also%20embedded%20some%20pacific%20northwestern%20flowers%20into%20the%20photo%20to%20pay%20tribute%20to%20Seattle%20again.%20Lastly%2C%20we%20have%20my%20handwritten%20script%20of%20%26quot%3BLove%20is%20natural%20and%20real%26quot%3B%20is%20part%20of%20the%20song%2C%20%26quot%3BI%20know%20it%27s%20over%26quot%3B%20by%20the%20Smiths.%20Love%20is%20essential%20in%20this%20world.%20It%27s%20the%20most%20important.%20Experiencing%20real%20love%20is%20incredible%2C%20indescribable%2C%20euphoric%2C%20worth%20chasing%20after%2C%20worth%20giving%20away.%20I%20love%20love.%20It%20is%20natural%20and%20real.%20
