My%20son%20has%20an%20all%20too%20ready%20sense%20of%20humour%20at%20times.%20%20On%20Sunday%20evening%20as%20I%20stood%20here%20taking%20in%20the%20final%20moments%20of%20my%20view%20before%20racing%20home%20to%20episode%205%20of%20Line%20of%20Duty%20I%20sent%20a%20message%20to%20my%20children.%20%20It%20said%20quite%20simply%20-%20%26quot%3Bone%20day%2C%20but%20not%20quite%20yet%20hopefully%2C%20you%20can%20spread%20my%20ashes%20here.%26quot%3B%20%20I%27m%20not%20sure%20why%20the%20thought%20hadn%27t%20occurred%20to%20me%20before.%20%20This%20place%20always%20makes%20me%20feel%20uncontrollably%20happy%20you%20see.%20%20It%27s%20had%20the%20same%20effect%20upon%20me%20year%20in%20year%20out%20since%20I%20was%20first%20brought%20here%20as%20a%20teenager%20more%20than%20forty%20years%20ago%2C%20and%20it%27s%20one%20of%20the%20reasons%20why%20I%20keep%20coming%20back%20with%20the%20camera%20again%20and%20again%20to%20add%20yet%20another%20image%20to%20the%20ever%20growing%20Godrevy%20album%20in%20my%20Flickr%20stream.%20%20%0A%0AMy%20daughter%20responded%20in%20kind.%20%20It%27s%20her%20local%20beach%20and%20she%27s%20one%20of%20that%20growing%20number%20of%20people%20who%20swims%20all%20year%20round%20no%20matter%20how%20cold%20it%20is%20-%20quite%20often%20in%20the%20waters%20here.%20%20We%27ve%20planned%20to%20meet%20up%20here%20tomorrow%20after%20work%20-%20fortunately%20for%20photography%20rather%20than%20water%20sports%20as%20it%27s%20far%20too%20early%20in%20the%20year%20for%20me%20to%20be%20donning%20the%20wetsuit%20and%20racing%20into%20the%20sea.%20%20My%20son%27s%20reply%20was%20altogether%20more%20predictable%20and%20to%20the%20point.%20%20%26quot%3BRightio.%20I%20have%20a%20week%20off%20coming%20up%2C%20so%20can%20be%20arranged%2C%26quot%3B%20came%20the%20not%20unexpected%20witticism.%20%20I%20really%20need%20to%20have%20another%20look%20at%20my%20will.%0A%0AMuch%20of%20Sunday%20had%20been%20spent%20in%20a%20very%20similar%20manner%20to%20the%20days%20beforehand%2C%20during%20which%20I%27d%20been%20on%20annual%20leave.%20%20The%20weather%20has%20been%20cold%2C%20but%20clear%20and%20calm%2C%20meaning%20that%20our%20favoured%20position%20next%20to%20the%20garage%20wall%20in%20our%20loungers%20had%20brought%20the%20annual%20garden%20sunbathing%20season%20to%20an%20early%20start.%20%20It%20was%20only%20at%20the%20last%20hour%20that%20I%20decided%20I%20was%20going%20to%20make%20a%20visit%20to%20Godrevy%20for%20a%20completely%20different%20sunset%20image%20that%20never%20materialised%20thanks%20to%20the%20bank%20of%20cloud%20you%20see%20on%20the%20left%20hand%20side%20of%20this%20one.%20%20Undeterred%20by%20this%20setback%20I%20stayed%20to%20enjoy%20the%20waves%20breaking%20on%20the%20rocks%20below%20me%20and%20take%20unusable%20photographs%20of%20them.%20%20Well%20they%27re%20unusable%20at%20the%20moment%20but%20I%20might%20change%20my%20mind%20about%20them%20later%20of%20course.%20%20Slowly%20I%20strolled%20back%20towards%20the%20car%20park%2C%20thinking%20of%20my%20dinner%20and%20trying%20to%20remember%20what%20had%20happened%20in%20previous%20episode%20of%20Line%20of%20Duty%20-%20I%20really%20need%20a%20notebook%20for%20that%20series.%20%20At%20various%20tried%20and%20tested%20vantage%20points%20I%20stopped%20and%20turned%2C%20just%20to%20watch%2C%20noticing%20the%20line%20of%20cloud%20radiating%20out%20to%20the%20left%20of%20the%20lighthouse.%20%20By%20the%20time%20I%20arrived%20here%20another%20line%20of%20cloud%20was%20heading%20across%20the%20sky%20on%20the%20opposite%20side%2C%20with%20a%20lovely%20pink%20glow%20just%20above%20Godrevy%20itself.%0A%0AAt%20moments%20like%20this%20it%27s%20almost%20impossible%20to%20tear%20oneself%20away%20from%20a%20scene%20as%20calm%20and%20beautiful%20as%20this%2C%20no%20matter%20how%20hungry%20you%20are%20nor%20how%20much%20you%27re%20looking%20forward%20to%20another%20hour%20of%20splendid%20confusion%20in%20front%20of%20the%20television.%20%20But%20it%20was%20Sunday%20evening%20and%20almost%209pm%20-%20and%20the%20dreaded%20return%20to%20a%20new%20term%20at%20work%20awaited%20me%20the%20following%20morning%20so%20dutifully%20I%20retraced%20those%20final%20yards%20to%20my%20car%20and%20headed%20home.%20%20%20%0A%0AAnother%20week%20is%20more%20than%20halfway%20through%20and%20an%20evening%20with%20the%20wide%20angle%20lens%20beckons%20on%20the%20beach%20at%20low%20tide%20tomorrow.%20%20All%20is%20well%20in%20my%20contented%20little%20world.%20%20Happy%20hump%20day%20folks.
