via%20WordPress%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22https%3A//ift.tt/3wS0ZWJ%22%20rel%3D%22noreferrer%20nofollow%22%3Eift.tt/3wS0ZWJ%3C/a%3E%0A%0A%23ad%0A%0AAs%20you%20know%20if%20you%u2019ve%20been%20following%20me%20for%20a%20while%2C%20my%20fitness%20journey%20has%20spanned%20many%20years%2C%20and%20has%20seen%20me%20completely%20transform%20the%20way%20I%20look%20and%20feel.%20Whilst%20not%20easy%20or%20quick%2C%20with%20hard%20work%20and%20determination%20I%u2019ve%20been%20able%20to%20get%20myself%20to%20a%20place%20where%20I%20finally%20feel%20confident%20about%20my%20body%20and%20what%20it%20can%20do%2C%20and%20knowing%20that%20I%u2019ve%20done%20this%20with%20my%20own%20dedication%20and%20discipline%20makes%20it%20all%20the%20more%20rewarding.%20But%20there%20are%20still%20things%20about%20my%20appearance%20that%20don%u2019t%20make%20me%20happy%2C%20and%20that%20up%20until%20very%20recently%20I%20thought%20I%20would%20never%20be%20able%20to%20change%20%u2013%20namely%20my%20crooked%20and%20crowded%20bottom%20teeth%20that%20I%20always%20hide%20when%20I%20smile.%20But%20after%20years%20of%20trying%20to%20hide%20away%20the%20bottom%20half%20of%20my%20mouth%2C%20I%20am%20now%20incredibly%20excited%20to%20be%20starting%20my%20journey%20with%20Invisalign%20UK%20and%20becoming%20the%20latest%20member%20of%20their%20%23SmileSquad%20to%20help%20me%20achieve%20the%20smile%20I%u2019ve%20always%20wished%20for.%20%0A%0AI%u2019ll%20be%20honest%2C%20both%20my%20top%20and%20bottom%20teeth%20have%20always%20been%20crowded%20and%20crooked.%20Braces%20weren%u2019t%20an%20option%20for%20me%20as%20a%20teenager%2C%20but%20when%20I%20hit%20my%20early%2020s%20and%20decided%20to%20get%20porcelain%20veneers%20fitted%20on%20my%20top%20teeth%20to%20correct%20my%20wonky%20smile%20I%20thought%20this%20would%20be%20the%20end%20of%20it%20%u2013%20back%20in%202002%20there%20was%20no%20social%20media%2C%20no%20selfies%2C%20and%2022%20year%20old%20me%20had%20no%20idea%20that%20she%u2019d%20one%20day%20be%20in%20front%20of%20groups%20of%20people%20with%20all%20their%20focus%20on%20her%2C%20so%20I%20thought%20as%20long%20as%20I%20could%20smile%20and%20look%20nice%20in%20photos%2C%20I%u2019d%20be%20okay.%20Fast%20forward%2015%20years%20and%20all%20I%20could%20see%20in%20my%20Instagram%20Stories%2C%20YouTube%20videos%20and%20at%20photoshoot%20is%20my%20awful%20crooked%20bottom%20teeth%20%u2013%20my%206%20year%20old%20niece%20even%20asked%20me%20last%20year%20when%20the%20Tooth%20Fairy%20was%20coming%20as%20it%20looked%20like%20my%20bottom%20teeth%20were%20about%20to%20fall%20out.%20Gotta%20love%20kids%20and%20their%20honesty%2C%20right%3F%21%0A%0AI%20know%20how%20much%20more%20confident%20I%20feel%20in%20myself%20since%20I%20lost%20over%2015kg%2C%20and%20so%20the%20thought%20of%20feeling%20even%20more%20confident%20in%20my%20smile%2C%20and%20being%20able%20to%20fully%20open%20my%20mouth%20without%20thinking%20twice%20about%20it%20is%20hugely%20exciting.%20I%u2019ll%20be%20sharing%20my%20entire%20Invisalign%20journey%20on%20my%20Instagram%2C%20but%20I%u2019ll%20also%20be%20documenting%20the%20experiences%20in%20more%20detail%20here%20on%20my%20Blog%20%u2013%20and%20last%20week%20saw%20my%20first%20visit%20to%20Dr%20Chaw-Su%20Kyi%20for%20my%20initial%20consultation%20and%205D%20Itero%20Scan.%20I%20went%20to%20Dr%20Kyi%u2019s%20Hammersmith%20practice%20for%20my%20first%20visit%20as%20it%u2019s%20close%20to%20home%20and%20work%20for%20me%2C%20so%20will%20be%20super%20convenient%20for%20my%20regular%20check-ups%20going%20forward.%20I%20was%20actually%20blown%20away%20by%20the%20technology%20of%20the%20Itero%20Scan%20%u2013%20with%20just%20a%20small%20camera%20in%20my%20mouth%20%28that%20caused%20no%20discomfort%20at%20all%29%20it%20was%20able%20to%20create%2C%20in%20real-time%2C%20a%20full%20and%20complete%20scan%20of%20my%20teeth%20%u2013%20not%20just%20their%20position%20and%20placement%20but%20all%20the%20way%20through%20%u2013%20so%20it%20enabled%20Dr%20Kyi%20to%20check%20that%20all%20my%20enamel%20was%20healthy%20and%20there%20were%20no%20cavities%20or%20other%20problems%20that%20may%20need%20addressing%20before%20I%20start%20wearing%20the%20Invisalign%20braces.%20Very%20quickly%20the%20images%20then%20processed%20to%20create%20a%20digital%20simulation%20of%20how%20my%20teeth%20could%20look%20after%20the%20Invisalign%20treatment%20%u2013%20and%20it%20was%20even%20better%20than%20I%u2019d%20hoped%21%20In%20a%20lot%20of%20ways%20I%20was%20actually%20frustrated%20that%20I%20hadn%u2019t%20decided%20to%20get%20Invisalign%20sooner%2C%20because%20seeing%20the%20results%20that%20are%20achievable%20with%20no%20disruption%20to%20my%20own%20teeth%20makes%20me%20realise%20the%20smile%20I%20have%20dreamed%20of%20having%20is%20totally%20possible%2C%20and%20I%u2019ve%20spent%20years%20hiding%20my%20bottom%20teeth%20when%20I%20could%20have%20been%20proudly%20showing%20them%20off%21%0A%0ADr%20Kyi%20and%20I%20then%20had%20a%20chat%20about%20the%20practicalities%20of%20we
