he%20world%20and%20he%20and%20I%20have%20had%20many%20adventures%20together%20over%20the%20years.%20%20He%20is%20a%20very%20precious%20member%20of%20my%20small%20family.%0A%0AScout%20was%20a%20gift%20to%20Paddy%20from%20my%20friend.%20%20He%20is%20a%20Fair%20Trade%20Bear%20hand%20knitted%20in%20Africa.%20%20His%20name%20comes%20from%20the%20shop%20my%20friend%20found%20him%20in%3A%20Scout%20House.%20%20He%20tells%20me%20that%20life%20was%20very%20different%20where%20he%20came%20from%2C%20and%20Paddy%20is%20helping%20introduce%20him%20to%20many%20new%20experiences.%20%20Scout%20catches%20on%20quickly%2C%20and%20has%20proven%20to%20be%20a%20cheeky%2C%20but%20very%20lovable%20member%20of%20our%20closely%20knit%20family.%0A%0ACousin%20Paddington%20is%20a%20recent%20visitor%20to%20our%20family.%20%20Travelling%20all%20the%20way%20from%20London%2C%20he%20was%20caught%20in%20transit%20thanks%20to%20the%20Coronavirus%20pandemic%2C%20so%20it%20looks%20like%20he%20is%20stopping%20with%20us%20for%20a%20while.%20%20The%20more%20I%20look%20into%20his%20happy%2C%20smiling%20face%2C%20the%20more%20attached%20I%20am%20becoming%20to%20him.%0A%0AChippy%20the%20monkey%20came%20to%20live%20with%20me%20when%20I%20was%20four.%20%20His%20name%20is%20derived%20from%20his%20innards%2C%20which%20are%20broken%20chips%20of%20hazelnut%20shells.%20%20He%20was%20made%20in%20America%20some%20time%20in%20the%20mid%20Twentieth%20Century.%20%20He%20features%20beautiful%20brown%20glass%20eyes%2C%20a%20felt%20face%2C%20hands%20and%20feet.%20%20He%20was%20given%20to%20me%20by%20one%20of%20my%20Grandfather%27s%20friends%20who%20worked%20in%20a%20small%20high%20street%20toy%20shop%20which%20sold%20a%20mixture%20of%20new%2C%20vintage%20and%20antique%20toys.%20%20Chippy%20was%20vintage%20at%20the%20time%2C%20and%20had%20been%20well%20loved%20prior%2C%20so%20with%20a%20few%20holes%2C%20some%20worn%20plush%20and%20patches%2C%20he%20was%20too%20worn%20to%20be%20sold%2C%20but%20my%20family%20friend%20knew%20that%20my%20gentle%20nature%20and%20respect%20for%20my%20toys%20meant%20he%20could%20find%20a%20new%20home%20with%20me%20for%20a%20long%20time.%20%20All%20these%20decades%20later%2C%20she%20was%20proven%20right%2C%20for%20he%20still%20lives%20with%20me%3B%20a%20bit%20more%20loved%2C%20a%20bit%20more%20worn%20and%20with%20a%20few%20more%20patches.%20%20He%20also%20has%20some%20red%20chalk%20marks%20on%20his%20right%20hand%20which%20I%20remember%20putting%20on%20him%20by%20accident%20when%20I%20was%20six%21%20%20He%20wanted%20to%20draw%20a%20rose%20on%20my%20chalkboard%20and%20I%20helped%20him%20do%20it%21%20%20%20%0A%0ACabbage%20is%20Paddy%27s%20Pug%20Dog.%20%20He%20was%20a%20gift%20to%20Paddy%20from%20a%20friend%20who%20also%20likes%20Pugs.%20%20He%20is%20fiercely%20loyal%20to%20Paddy%20and%20Scout%2C%20but%20seldom%20stays%20around%20long%20enough%20to%20have%20his%20picture%20taken%2C%20as%20there%20are%20always%20new%20adventures%20to%20sniff%20out.
